It's week 3 and already we have some really solid matchups with big time implications going forward. One of those games is Ball State hosting Pitt. Pitt is coming off a loss to USF, and Ball State is coming off a tough loss to Troy.
Coach Bigflu has built his team up and is ready to create a statement against Ball St. The Panthers have already matched there win total in all of last season with 2. Tino Sunseri has been leading the offense with 413 yards in 3 games, 5 Touchdowns, and only one INT. That consistency combined with the 8th ranked defense in TCS has won them games in solid fashion. Defensive back Alex Guiness will be someone to watch in this contest. He is the leading tackler for the Panthers.
The Ball State Cardinals are a bit of an enigma. The season started off perfectly with a 28-0 thumping of the Irish, than a shaky win versus Georgia, followed by a loss to Troy has the Cardinals searching for answers. EJ Francis is one of those players that may need to step it up. Francis had half of his seasons production against the Irish, but the last two contests he has been held in check. Francis will need to take the heat off of stud RB Chris Klene.
Quick Stat: Gonzo Snyder of the Cardinals has 1 sack, 2 INT's, and 13 tackles. He is a shoe in for All American, and could be a darkhorse Munoz Candidate.
